"These are amazing. Thank you so much for documenting our special day. These will help us to remember everything for a long, long time to come!" I knew as soon as we had our first cuppa together that I was going to be in for a visual treat with this wedding. Both Jen and Dan come from a theatrical background and had decided that they were going to stage a show to be remembered! As we left 2019 and leapt into 2020 they had fallen upon the perfect theme - a fabulous Gatsby-esque 1920s party thrown at the gorgeous Mill Barns in Alveley. Every last detail had been considered and there To View More >>
Will it rain on my wedding day? What on earth do we do if it does? We happen to live in one of the greenest, most beautiful countries in Europe and it's mainly because of our rain/sunshine combo! So the chance of rain even on that summer saturday in August is high - at least 50/50. So what should you do? Here are some of my recent brides top tips; 1. Embrace it. You've got a fab venue, laugh, love and nip outside when you can for photos. If you are positive, your guests will be - happiness is infectious it spreads. 2. Katy and Ollie are like 99% of us - not sure at all about having their photograph taken! So we decided it would be a good idea to go for a stroll in Sutton park, get to know each other and let them get used to being trailed by a camera before their wedding day. Apparently they have shared all the funny 'outtakes' with friends and family (I love this!) But just to reassure everyone here are my favourite ones that aren't quite as crazy.... ok so a few of my fave funny looks have snuck in..... I couldn't quite resitst! If you speak to Katy nicely I'm sure she'll show you the rest To View More >>
'I'd say that we winged it a lot, but as long as you know what's important to you (I spent far more time on the little gifts and the activities for the kids than I did thinking about decorations), you'll enjoy yourself. And the point is to enjoy yourself! If it's not going to be fun, you might as well do it with no guests in a registry office, because getting married is quite administrative. If you want a wedding, make it reflect your personality.' Gemma Top advice from Gemma! When Gemma and Andrew explained their day I knew I had to shoot it. Their plan was simple To View More >>
I met Joyce and Jordan just over a year ago and knew it was a wedding I had to do. With two ceremonies to complete in a day the devil was going to be in the detail. Luckily Joyce is a human dynamo who, like me, loves a schedule! We started bright and early at her parents house bursting with love, relatives and friends who had travelled from all over the world to be here for this special day. Once dressed in a beautiful hand stitched gown from Hong Kong the ceremonies could start. First up an emotionally charged hair combing marking Joyce's transition to married life and that To View More >>
